Readings for Writers: Creativity with the Cards
If you'd like to jump-start your creative writing with tarot, I'd be happy to meet with you for a Tarot for Writers brainstorming or coaching session. You can call for a short burst of inspiration, or schedule a longer, more thoughtful exploration of your current work in progress. I charge $20 for a 15-minute session, $40 for 30 minutes, and $75 for an hour.

If you'd like ongoing help with your project, I'm happy to offer a discounted package of four one-hour sessions for just $50 each. If you'd like the package deal, we'll arrange to meet regularly once a week, or once every two weeks.

While your consultation will be custom-tailored to your needs, here's what you can expect in any given time frame:

In 15 minutes, we can:

• Break through writer's block with prompts and practice suggestions based on the cards

• Find a setting or a theme for your story

• Develop a quick character sketch
  

• Discover a character's innermost hopes and fears

• Pinpoint a character's internal or external conflict

• Outline a three-act story

In 30 minutes, we can:

• Develop a detailed character sketch

• Construct a single scene for your story

• Find a storyline for a supporting character

• Weave a subplot

• Work on dialogue

In 60 minutes, we can:

• Develop quick character sketches for three or four personalities

• Create a comprehensive character profile of your protagonist or antagonist

• Plot a "Hero's Journey" for your protagonist

• Outline a novel or screenplay

• Build three or four scenes

• Explore alternate endings for your story
